Officer Hit In Head With Skateboard After Rock Shatters Window

In California, an officer was simply driving down the road when a rock hit his car, shattering the windshield and destroying the spotlight. The officer pulled over to inspect the damage, and call for a supervisor. While the two were looking over the damage, 32 year old Kyle McCord came up behind the officer and smashed him in the head with a skateboard. After getting hit, the officer pulled his gun and fired three rounds at the man. The Sergeant chased the man through a parking lot before other officers were able to apprehend the man. The officer was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries and Kyle was taken to jail. Kyle is now facing charges of Attempted Murder of a Police Officer and Committing a Felony While On Bond.
