The body of a missing woman in the Houston area was recovered from the jaws of an alligator. Houston police were searching for the missing woman along a bayou in the Clear Lake area, in southeast Houston on Tuesday morning, when they saw the alligator chewing on the woman's body. Police shot and killed the alligator to keep it from causing any more damage to the body. Both the woman's remains and the alligator have been recovered from the Horsepen Bayou. Now the medical examiner will determine if the woman was killed by the animal, or if she was already dead when the alligator found her body. The woman's name has not been released.
