A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly robbing a Platteville ice cream shop Thursday afternoon.
The Platteville Police Department identified 45-year-old Bereta Alesandru of Spring Hill, Florida as the woman who allegedly robbed 3 Marias Ice Cream Shop in Platteville.
According to the complaint, an employee in the shop referred to as Victim 1 said Alesandru walked into the store and said she needed $80 for gas. Victim 1 told police Alesandru allegedly offered air pods in exchange for the $80.
According to the complaint, Alesandru was opening her purse to show the air pods and Victim 1 noticed a knife in her purse. Victim 1 told police Alesandru pulled the knife out of the purse and allegedly told victim 1 "It was a very good knife."
Victim 1 described the knife as having some red on it and was a folding knife.
According to the complaint, Alesandru took $80 from the cash register. And allegedly asked for more money from the cash register. She allegedly asked for $800 and went down to $300.
Victim 1 told police Alesandru allegedly put her hand in her purse and screamed, "give me all the money."
Platteville officers stopped a Black Ford with a partial Florida license plate on US HWY 151. Officers noted the three individuals who were removed from the vehicle were a juvenile male, adult male, and adult female.
The woman in the vehicle matched the description of the woman who allegedly robbed the ice cream shop and online court record show she was arrested for robbery with threat of force.
