A furniture company is recalling one of its products almost a year after a young child was killed by a tip-over incident. According to a recall notice, Dania Furniture's Hayden bookcase can topple over if it is not attached to a wall, causing entrapment hazards that can result in "death or serious injuries to children." The Idaho-based company says it received a report last August of a four-year-old who died due to an "unanchored" bookcase that tipped over. More than 900 bookcases were sold nationwide from November 2017 through February 2024.
