A Georgia man is in trouble for trying to be the freedom police. Last Saturday, police were called to an area in South Carolina on reports of a trespasser climbing a fence near a giant flagpole that flew a Confederate flag planted by the local chapter of The Sons of Confederate Veterans. According to reports, 23 year old James Blitch drove from Atlanta to South Carolina to remove the flag that flew next to I-85. When police encountered him, they found a Dremel and tool bits. He was cooperative with police and told them he didn't agree with the flag and wanted to lower it. He was charged with two trespassing counts and spent the night in jail.
