A TJ Maxx store in Long Beach, California was robbed by the same woman…30 different times. Prosecutors say this is the “largest single case of shoplifting in the history of Long Beach.” Florence Leslie Miller was arrested after police suspected her of hitting the store two-and-a-half dozen times between September 9, 2023 and June 13 of this year, taking “handbags, jeans, and other items.” City Prosecutor Douglas Haubert says he’s “never seen a person go this long without being caught”…until now. In each theft, the total stolen was valued at less than $950, however, the total value of stolen merchandise is upwards of $6K. Obviously, the severity of the charges could increase if it’s discovered that Miller it other stores than just this one TJ Maxx location…allegedly.
