A young boy is dead after a bounce house went airborne and crashed onto a Maryland baseball field. Officials say a gust of wind carried the bounce house, which was filled with children, 15 to 20 feet into the air before it came crashing down during a Southern Maryland Blue Crabs game. The five-year-old was airlifted to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Another child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses reportedly said stakes had been hammered into the ground to help secure the bounce house.
