A Southern California man attempted to rob some ATMs but didn't get very far. According to reports, the 44 year old man drove up to an ATM outside of the California Coast Credit Union around 3:30 a.m. in early June. He gets out of his car, takes a five gallon container with a spout attached to the front of the ATM, inserts a black hose, then moments later, an explosion occurred inside the machine. He then tried to pull money out put didn't get anything. Flash forward a few weeks later and the same man pulls up to yet another ATM at the First Citizen's Bank and did the same thing. Again...to no avail. Police were able to track the man down and got a warrant to search his home. In the home they found gas, black powder, potassium nitrate sulfur, explosive pre-cursor materials, and a paper that explained how to make black powder, a gun, and more.
