In Chesterfield County, Virginia, a homeowner learned the hard way the damage that can be done by doing something stupid. According to fire officials, someone placed the loaded gun in the oven and turned it on. When the gun heated up, it went off, shooting a total of five rounds. No one was injured during this incident. “When you place any item in the oven it is easy to forget it is there, which can lead to a fire or something worse when you turn it on,” fire officials said on Facebook. “You should also make sure to properly store your firearms. Keep them somewhere secure, like a gun safe.”
