In Nepal, a 76-year-old man desperately sought out medical attention when he noticed a “bloody discharge” emitting from his wang. Upon examination, doctors were shocked to discover that maggots had been burrowing in through an “open wound near his urethra.” Docs aren’t completely sure how the maggots reached his unit, but they did note that “the flies are attracted to foul-smelling discharges from body openings, where they lay their eggs.” From there, maggots were born, and they eventually made their way into the man’s bladder. Reportedly, the man had earlier suffered a stroke, and his wife had been tending to his hygiene. Doctors used turpentine oil to draw the maggots to the surface and then removed them one-by-one manually.
