29-year-old Jennifer Castro went viral in a video after an incident that happened back in December on a GOL Airlines flight. Jennifer is suing the airline and the person that filmed her without her permission for the backlash and hate she's received online after the video went viral. When Jennifer made her flight reservation, she reserved a window seat and when she boarded the plane, a young boy was sitting in her seat. She made him move and apparently, he whined and cried about it the entire flight. Despite the backlash, Castro remains firm in her belief that she was within her rights to keep her seat. “No one deserves to go through what I went through, being filmed, insulted, and attacked just for exercising a basic right.
“This lawsuit is not just about reparations, but also about setting a limit on this type of behavior.
“We all have rights, and they must be respected, regardless of other people’s opinions.”
