Louisiana Man Claims It Was 'Not a Crime to Throw Food on His Wife'

58-year-old Willie Cook wasn't going to jail without letting police know that there's no law against an old-fashioned food fight. He apparently didn't like the words that were coming from his 34-year-old wife when he decided to throw food at her while she was in bed. Even worse, he threw a metal spoon at her head and left a lump. Police were called and after being read his rights, Cook declared that it was not unlawful to shower one’s spouse with food items. Police weren't interested in hearing that, and they booked him on domestic abuse battery charge. Cook spent two days in custody before posting $500 bond on the misdemeanor charge.
