A lifeguard is recovering after she was impaled by an umbrella on the Jersey Shore. Reports indicate a wind gust blew the young woman off her lifeguard chair and onto the umbrella yesterday. The six-foot pole pierced through her left shoulder and came out her back, according to fire officials. It had to be cut into pieces before the lifeguard could be taken to the hospital.
