Nurse Cops Plea In Dog Abandonment

According to reports, back in August of 2023, 46 year old nurse Allison Gaiser decided she wanted to go to Mexico and wanted to take her Frenchie with her. The airline however said she didn't meet the requirements for an emotional support animal and didn't have a proper kennel as required. So what did she do? She left he dog in a stroller next to a short term parking lot and went on her Mexican vacation. An officer found the dog and took it to be placed in foster care. When she got back home to Pittsburgh she was questioned by airport police and admitted to leaving the dog behind because the airline denied the dog boarding. She even showed them a text message to her mom asking her to call the airport and have them take the dog to the pound and that she would pick him up when she got back. Her mamma warned her that she would be arrested for dog abandonment. She was originally charged with animal cruelty and neglect and ended up having to pay $150 fine and $350 in court costs.
